It pleases me greatly to announce the publication of “Your Voice Matters Most-Life Poems” by my long-time friend and associate, Richard Weigand. As his first ever book of original poems (and there are more coming), Richard shares his reasons for writing it, stating:

“In the course of this life I have learned a great deal, and poetry is how I have chosen to pass on the lessons learned. That is what this book is about: lessons learned relative to our children and our future.”

As you’ll discover when you read his poems, in accomplishing those purposes Weigand has crafted an utterly new and unique approach to heightening public awareness of the problems of modern child rearing, “education”, schooling and the stultifying effect they have on kids. These are subjects that have long been passions of his, and each poem in “Your Voice Matters Most” tackles a different aspect of the problem through the aesthetic of verse. Taken as a whole, they not only offer a stunning appraisal of the real problems with our educational system, but also a prophetic vision of what that system could be if the changes Weigand advocates were implemented.
